*Laney*
I walked down the aisle, holding my flowers with Reese on my arm. I stood off to the side where the bride was going to stand and Reese went to best-mans side. I smiled and winked at him, and he winked back.
The music started playing and I saw Jessica walk from around the corner and I looked at Marcus, and all I could see was love in his eyes.
Jessica and Marcus were connected. You could tell. There was something in their eyes that made the air non-breathable. Once the music stopped and Jessica stood in front of Marcus, they smiled at each other, and turned to the priest.
After they exchanged their vows and rings. The priest said "yo
Laney and I still aren't dating. We haven't told Marcus and Jessica about what we know. Marcus admitted that him and Jessica were thinking of pushing us together, but we just wants whats best for us, so they laid off.
I sat in my room, writing up an essay for English due Friday when I looked outside my window and saw Laney sitting, looking at my window. I saved what I had off the essay which wasn't much and moved my chair to my window.
"Hey, what you doing staring at my window. Creep." I said teasingly.
She smiled. "Waiting for you to notice. I want to talk. Come over."
"Okay," I said and started to go out my window.
"Wait! What are you
The next morning I was so damn confused. Now that Laney knows how I feel, and I know how she feels, I don't know where we stand. I was currently waiting for Dena to arrive at the movie theatre. I don't know how I tell her that it's over, when I don't want to hurt her anymore.
I'm screwed.
I saw Dena poke through the crowd. I smiled at her, and we walked to the con session stand together. I turned to Dena, and she smiled at me. Damn, I couldn't do this. We paid for our tickets and made our way to the theatre had a few people sitting in it. We sat closer to the back, but not at the back because that was considered make out central.
Dena smil
I gaped at her. "You have feelings more me?" I was stunned.
She sat back down on the couch. "Yes, Reese I do. I've had them for a while. When Todd asked me to the dance I thought this was my chance to get over the feelings for you, but they didn't go away. At the dance, I wanted to be your date not Dena's. I waited for you to ask to the dance, but you never did. I thought you only liked me as a friend."
"I realized I liked you more than a friend in grade eight, but I pushed them away because I knew that you would never return the feelings. When I broke up with Todd, I thought you'd be waiting for me, and I thought you'd come to realization
I was having lunch with Laney, Jessica, Marcus, and Dena. I hadn't told anyone about Dena and I's second date tonight because I knew they were going to say something about it. Over the past couple of days, Laney's been feeling better and finally getting back into the group.
I don't think she hurt over Todd, I just think she was hurt because she let herself be in that kind of relationship because she thought she was going to get something out of it. Laney finally came over last night for dinner. My Mom greeted her and said how she missed her.
Laney was getting used to Dena, but I could tell she still didn't like her.
"What's everyone up ton
Two weeks later, and Laney is still going out with that ass. Over the past two weeks, Dena and I have been hanging out with each other a lot. I'm just starting to get over Laney and pass the feelings on to Dena. Honestly, when she isn't a crazed Reese
Fan she actually an awesome person.
Marcus and Jessica have been up to something, I can see it in their eyes whenever I'm with them. Jessica likes Dena, but they really don't have much in common like her and Laney.
I was playing basketball with Marcus before he was going on his date with Jessica.
"I know your starting to like Dena, but-" He got cut off by his phone ringing. He walked over to
It's been about a week since the dance, and I've officially given up. Todd and Laney seem very happy together. I haven't seen Laney since the dance, and I'm missing her so much. My heart feels like it's going to explode because the girl I love isn't in love with me.
"Reese?" I heard my name and someone shaking my shoulder. I shook my head to get out of my thoughts and looked at Dena beside me. I'd forgotten for a moment that I'd asked her to hangout with me at the mall since I needed to get some new clothes, and she'd offered to help.
"Sorry," I apologized.
"It's okay," said Dena. "Now that we've gotten some new shirts, lets move on to jea
The day of the dance is finally here. Dena, Laney, and Jessica left at lunch. Even though the dance is tonight at seven, the girls are all getting ready together. Marcus and I were at my house right after school. He'd brought over his clothes, but right now we were in our shorts and shirt, playing some basketball.
"So you really think that making Laney jealous with Dena is going to work?" Marcus asked. He jumped and landed the ball in the net. I shrugged as I got the ball. I stood at the end of my driveway.
"She has to have feelings for me somewhere, doesn't she?" I said and started up the driveway. Marcus blocked my shot and knocked the ba
English class sucked. Dena kept trying to talk to me. She really isn't that bad of a person, if you really think about it.
"So I heard Todd Ryans asked Laney to the dance."
I nodded. I didn't trust myself to open my mouth.
"Do you have date?" She asked.
I turned to her. I felt like someone was controlling my body. "Dena, do you want to go to the dance with me?" I asked. I do not know where that came from.
She nodded and a huge grin appeared on her face. "I'd love to!"
"I'll meet you here at seven then? Friday?" It was only Tuesday. The dance was in two days. She nodded, then turned back to the teacher who was giving us questioning marks
The next day, everyone congratulated Laney on their teams win. Todd even went up and gave her a hug. Her team was smiling and two of them were whispering in each other's ear.
"Don't let it get to you," Marcus said.
"I'm not." I replied.
"Yes you are, dude."
When Laney finally joined us, it was time for class. I told them I'd see them at lunch, and headed towards my English class. Once I walked in, Dena was right there.
"Hey Reese." Dena said, leaning towards my desk as I sat down.
"Hey, Dena." I replied. Dena has had a crush on me since last year. I don't know why and I don't know how. I've let her down saying I don't like her but
